Tree Plantings

Our next Tree Planting Day - Saturday 3rd December at Longdale Recreation Field -- 10am until 12.30pm.

Do come along and help us with our tree planting! Usual things apply: warm clothing, stout boots, refreshments etc. Please note that all children should be accompanied by an adult.

Florence Carter Playing Field

On the 17th April we planted three Alders and a Plane tree on the Florence Carter Playing Field. Des Mack provided the serious equipment and the rest of us donated lots of elbow grease! We hope that these new trees will be a delightful feature of this small park for many years go come. Enjoy our record of the occasion!

Longdale Recreation Field

We will be doing some watering and further mulching sometime soon in May, to prepare the Littlewood trees for a possible hot summer - another one! All volunteers welcome to join us! Watch this space and local noticeboards for details.
